Unveiling a Unique Steam Game Trial: Guiding a Poop with the Goal to Arrive at the Toilet
Steam Next Fest is in full swing, and players have encountered plenty of interesting indie games. But, one catches the eye for its unconventional concept. Named Unko Technica, this classic-feel jumping adventure features a protagonist that is truly a piece of poop attempting to travel to a restroom. For those curious, "Unko" means "poop."
Player controls is straightforward: just use a jump control. In 150 challenges, battle tough enemies and visit a shop to acquire outfits for your poop character.
Plan your actions precisely, as a error requires starting over. Leap using air pockets to propel the poop to new heights, cross crumbling surfaces, and activate buttons to reveal hidden paths. Collect currency to purchase tougher game content where the action ramps up.
Graphically, the experience features vibrant level designs and a killer music score. The simple visual style with shifting abstract forms could recall fans of classic titles like Earthbound.
Although tough to name previous releases where you are a piece of feces, video games have long included scatological themes. For instance, in Death Stranding, players craft throwables from character waste. Examples include Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved utilize feces as plant food. Naturally, this theme is present a lot in Obsidian's South Park RPG The Stick of Truth.
Regardless of its goofy idea, Unko Technica has already garnered impressive awards, including taking top honors at Bandai Namco's GYAAR Studio in 2023. This trial version is ready currently on Steam, with the final release scheduled to arrive on PC on November 19.
