Two Men Accused with Prison Murder of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder following the incarceration fatality of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per investigating officers.

Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was taken into custody following a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
