Tuchel Expresses Disappointment Over Home Crowd Support Despite Dominant Wales Victory.

The England head coach voiced his regret that the Three Lions team did not get more backing from the home spectators during their impressive 3-0 friendly victory on Thursday night.

The manager was pleased to see his team showcase their strong performance, with finishes from Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Bukayo Saka inside the opening quarter settling the contest. However, he was displeased with the energy at the iconic venue.

“We had limited sessions to prepare against a organized team and we did very well,” Tuchel stated. “We could have been five goals ahead at the break. We missed the additional goals. It was quiet. We didn’t get support from the crowd. Our team gave their all to win.”

“What more can you deliver in the first quarter? We didn’t let them get away. If you hear just Wales fans for half an hour, it’s disappointing because the squad warranted greater backing today.”

“I support this statement. We cannot do more than leading 3-0 in a rivalry match. I hoped for a greater support in periods where it becomes tough.”

“In the second half, to get behind us, there was a bit too much backing for the opposition. It could have helped us to regain energy, but it is what it is and so be it.”

Selection Choices Justified by Performance

Away from potentially starting a dispute among supporters, the manager also raised eyebrows by leaving out Jude Bellingham and Foden from his team selection. Yet the decision was justified by Morgan Rogers delivering another standout performance in the attacking midfield role and netting his first international goal.

“He is what he is,” the head coach explained. “He operates as an attacking midfielder and he is fighting for his place.”

Bellamy Seeks Improvement from Loss

The Wales manager expressed hope that Wales, who face Belgium in a important qualifying match on Monday, learn from their awful performance in the opening period.

“This is why I scheduled this friendly,” Bellamy commented. “I need to see our standing. Where do we want to go? Who do we want to be? This performance fills me with motivation.”

Fitness Worry for Striker

Watkins was taken off at half-time after colliding with a goalpost and is a concern when England face Latvia in Riga in a qualifier on Tuesday.
